• The virtual classroom was upgraded in the last weekend to an intermediate release, which adds support for the new version of Java whose release is expected in near future.
• Further to the optimisations as mentioned at http://123iitjee.com/blog/index.php?entryid=124, the website is now under live testing for serving some content from geographically distributed servers. This is expected to further speed up the website for the majority of users as the user should now receive some content from the server near his/her place of access.

• JEE 2012 is be conducted on April 8, 2012 whose application process commences from October 31, 2011.
• The virtual classroom has been upgraded to an intermediate release.
• The site has been upgraded some days back to new online test taking engine besides some other less obvious changes.

AIEEE 2012 will be conducted on 29^th April 2012 (Sunday). As per the CBSE press release, there is a plan to conduct online exam on mass scale and students are advised to acquaint themselves with the same.

Note: This website includes every single type of objective question online via various test papers that has been asked in the past. There is a mock test that can be taken from here (use username: demo, password: demo to take the test if you do have account here yet).

The new version of the virtual classroom is live effective today. The configuration room can be accessed from here.

New version of virtual classroom is expected to go live in few weeks. The major change is in the user interface as can be seen from the screenshot attached.

• New session for JEE 2012|2013 will commence from 12^th April and that for JEE 2014|2015 will commence from 29^th April.

The VLE system that runs this website is running from new server. The equations are being rendered from different binaries giving superior quality. For speed optimisation, especially considering the fact that VLE is a heavy-weight application unlike typical website, nearly 83% page compression has been achieved and accelerator is in use besides server side caching.

Couple of major website/system updates have been done in two phases in past few days:

Phase 1: 123iitjee.com has been merged with the VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) making it single point of entry for various purposes. Now, the VLE almost entirely runs the main site as well as the courses.
Phase 2: The site has been upgraded to the new version of the VLE on 1^st January 2011. Firefox is the recommended browser for best experience.

Since the last post, several files and tests have been activated/uploaded.

123IITJEE channel is now a YouTube partner. The first video > 15 minutes size in embedded form can be seen here.

Though, the current version of VLE has built-in support for scientific typing using codes as mentioned here, the new version of VLE has point and click equation editor in addition that pops out after one clicks on the icon as shown below and inserts the codes. Hopefully, this will help in improving the quality of online typing once the new version of VLE goes live.
